How did you develop in your roles, within E.ON Business Services Cluj?
I initially joined E.ON Business Services Cluj as a General Ledger Team Lead for Sweden in 2012. After leading various projects and managing daily operations, focusing on process stabilization and standardization as well as people management and development, the opportunity arose to apply for the role of Head of General Ledger and I was successfully promoted. I took over this position after my maternity leave, which gives an indication of what fairness and performance recognition mean at E.ON Business Services Cluj.

Why did you decide to work as Head of General Ledger at E.ON Business Services Cluj?
E.ON is definitely one of the strongest names in the energy sector. The fact that E.ON also opened the shared service center in Cluj was really appealing to me as I had multiple years of experience in a multinational environment, BPO and across finance functions in different leadership positions. I was utterly convinced that this will play a key role in my further professional development as I moved to an internal shared service center in the energy sector after having the BPO experience with manufacturing and pharma industry customers.

What is, in your opinion, the most important benefit the company offers its employees and why?
There are definitely numerous benefits to be considered. If I have to choose one, then for me it is the company kindergarten.  My son has recently started to attend and I’m sure all parents understand how important it is to save time in the morning and know the little one is safe, well cared for and close to your office - not to mention the financial support E.ON Business Services Cluj offers to its employees.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
I believe that creating a desirable work environment is one of the key things when it comes to enjoying your work, no matter the domain in which the company operates.

As a manager, it is important to me to ensure all operational deliverables are met, but at the same time have a good atmosphere in the team, knowing people can openly speak their mind and that they have the necessary autonomy. I am proud to say we have achieved this, along with an engaging work culture focused on people. We have also ensured excellent results, and delivered on the fundamentals of transparency, trust and responsibility.  There is a strong alignment between my beliefs and the company culture, which makes it by far the most rewarding role I have had until now.

Are there any tips and recommendations that you would like to give candidates with regard to your experiences when applying for a job?
Come prepared, but be yourself. Often at interviews I notice that people tend to say what they have read or what they think the interviewer wants to hear. This risks losing authenticity, which always makes the difference.
